Event Information

The DSAV Buddy Walk unites families, friends, and community members to celebrate inclusion, promote acceptance, and support individuals with Down syndrome.

2026 Buddy Walk®

Location: ​717 Credit Union Field at Eastwood, Niles
Date: Sunday, September  20, 2026 - RAIN OR SHINE!
Gates Open at 11:45am
Walk Kicks off at 1:00pm
 
Weather: There is rain in the forecast on Sunday, but a little wet weather won't stop us from celebrating our community.  Be sure to bring umbrellas, ponchos/rain jackets and appropriate footwear.


Event Registration: Online Registration is now closed but participants can still sign up at the Registration Tent at the Walk.  Limited shirt sizes will be available.

DONATIONS: Online donations are still being accepted for those that want to support their favorite team.

Event Timeline:
10:30-11:30AM - Buddy Walk Lane set-up for preregistered vehicles.

11:45am - Gates Open
Individuals with Down syndrome - Stop by the Registration Tent for your medal, buddy bag and photo!

12:15pm - Pre-Walk Dance Party
Join our community Cheerleaders at Center Stage

12:45pm - Open Ceremony

1:00pm - Buddy Walk Step off with the Salem High School Marching Band

1:30pm - Performance by Castle on a Cloud (Center Stage)

2:00pm - Basket Raffle Winners Announced

2:30pm Buddy walk Concludes
