Since 2007, DSAV has been dedicated to serving individuals with Down Syndrome in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Our Regional Down Syndrome Center for Success, opened in June 2022 in Boardman, OH, provides a range of amenities to support our community, including therapeutic play areas, life skills classes, and communication development spaces. At DSAV, we prioritize inclusion and offer free membership to individuals with Down Syndrome, their families, educators, healthcare professionals, and advocates. Join us in creating a diverse and equitable environment where everyone is respected and valued, regardless of background or identity. Recommended for individuals aged 15 years and older, this program utilizes improvisation techniques to enhance crucial skills that can significantly enhance social and workplace prospects for those with Down Syndrome. Through engaging in role-playing and interactive games, participants develop essential abilities such as eye contact, voice projection, active listening, creative and quick thinking, problem-solving, adaptability to change, character development, and most importantly, self-confidence.
